Almuftah Interiors’ fire-rated portacabins receive BM Trada ME certification

Almuftah Interiors has recently obtained a product verification certificate for its fire-rated portacabins. The recognition was awarded by BM Trada Middle East, a leading multi-sectoral certification body, after a thorough inspection of the processes involved in the division’s fabrication of the aforementioned products.

The certificate ascertains that the company's portacabins are manufactured in compliance with the requirements set by Qatar’s Civil Defence Department and with international fire resistance standards, namely BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 and ANSI/UL 263 (BXUV).

According to Almuftah Group Managing Director Ibrahim Almuftah, ensuring the safety of the company’s products has always been foremost among the management’s priorities.

He said, “Quality assurance is a fundamental part of our business philosophy, so we expect it to be equally important to the people we do business with.

"That’s why we are proud of the fact that Almuftah Interiors has earned a product verification certification for its fire-rated portacabins. This has bolstered our staff’s commitment to quality and sustainability and more importantly, their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.”

Tony Tremedal, Group Management Representative for Almuftah Group, has also hailed the product verification as a big step in further improving the overall quality of the company’s manufacturing processes.

“It has been a difficult yet rewarding task. But thanks to the collaborative efforts of all the people involved, the realisation of this goal was made possible.

"This certification emphasises Almuftah Group’s pledge not only to meet but even exceed its own quality management expectations in order to improve overall customer satisfaction,” he said.

Tremedal is head of Almuftah Group’s Quality Management System Department, the team which spearheads changes within Almuftah Group’s divisions to ensure that their operations adhere to internationally recognised standards.

In addition to arranging periodic audits from third-party organisations, the department is also working with the different divisions to implement a full spectrum of internal quality control processes to maintain the integrity of their businesses and to ensure that their products and services satisfactorily meet important local and international quality requirements.
