Almuftah Carpentry, established in 1975, is one of the oldest furniture manufacturing companies in Qatar and was founded to fill the gap in the market of high quality products at competitive prices. Our main objective is to contribute quality furniture and fixtures and to go hand in hand with the progress of the country.
Our factory is situated in Al Wakrah and occupies an area of 6094M2. It is equipped with the latest woodworking machinery and is complemented by over 150 fully trained and competent staff.
Alongside the joinery factory we have a soft furnishings and decoration factory that produce high quality sofa sets, custom built chairs, decorative curtains and all types of custom made decorative items for every occasion. With our in-house designers, we are able to manufacture high quality products of intricate and elaborate design.
We operate systematically and produce according to international standard of operation. Our quality management system is governed according to ISO 9001:2000 and certification is under process.
Contracts review: The contracts, tenders and orders are processed and reviewed by a group of managers as per the company's procedure for contract review.
Our material purchase and services are scrutinized and records of all its suppliers and sub-contracts are well maintained.
Identification of the product from the stage of delivery of raw materials to the completion of production and delivery is carried out. All products are identified with cutting list numbers and production dates which can be processed back to a representative sample for the specific batch.
All processes are planned and carried out according to documented procedure work instructions, prepared specifically for each process undertaken by the company, thus ensuring that the equipment used and the prevailing environmental conditions are appropriate for the process requirement, and, that all personnel involved are fully aware of their responsibilities.
The company's policy on quality starts on all incoming materials, which are not used or processed until they have been inspected and verified confirming their specified requirements. In the course of manufacturing process the product is subjected to inspection. No product has been dispatched until all items specified in the quality plan have been satisfactory completed and signed by the quality department.
Products received and manufactured are handled manually by cranes and or forklift truck using proven method, which prevents damage or deterioration. All manual handling are done as per work instruction for handling. Manufactured products packed for delivery are identified by labels containing product name, serial number and batch number.
Responsible person prepares documents pertaining to the goods that are to be delivered, which in turn is counter-signed by the responsible authority at the receiving end after confirming that the goods are up to their satisfaction.
The company ensures that all of its employees (more than 150 employees) are qualified and experienced as appropriate to conduct the activities required of them by the company. Such requirement are documented in the relevant job description services or maintenance specified in contract. The company set a group of technicians to perform the job as required by the client.
