After having established themselves as a strong business Group of companies in the State of Qatar, the Almuftah Group decided to enter into education with a view to supporting children living in the State for social, cultural and career development.
The English Modern School started in 1991, teaches a modified version of the National Curriculum for England and Wales. The School educates a multiplicity of 32 nationalities and is planned to accommodate 1,200 students.
Over a period of years, the school has achieved tremendous growth. Apart from Qatari nationals the school has enrolled students from Western, Far Eastern and Asian countries.
The English Modern School is centrally located in Madinat Khalifa and is equipped with modern facilities. There are experienced and qualified native English-speaking teaching and administrative staff.
The establishment of The English Modern School is an important step forward by the Almuftah Group.
